Privacy Policy
Who we are
Clarity by Telofin™ is a financial planning and budgeting tool operated by Telofin™ ("we," "us," or "our"). Our website is telofin.com. You can reach us at hello@telofin.com.
What data we collect
We collect only what's necessary to operate the app:
- Account information — your email address when you sign in via magic link or Google OAuth
- Financial data you enter — income, expenses, grants, budgets, donors, invoices, and other data you add to the app. This is stored in your browser locally and, when signed in, synced to our secure cloud database
- Usage analytics — page views and basic engagement data via Google Analytics (anonymized, no personally identifiable information)
- Waitlist emails — if you submit your email to join the Pro waitlist, we store it to contact you before launch
We do not collect payment information, banking credentials, or any sensitive financial account data. Never enter passwords or banking credentials into Clarity by Telofin™.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the app
- To sync your data across devices when you are signed in
- To contact you about Pro plan availability if you joined the waitlist
- To improve the app based on anonymized usage patterns
We do not use your financial data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the app for you.
How we store your data
Your data is stored in two places:
- Your browser — locally via localStorage. This means your data is on your device. Clearing your browser data will remove it unless you are signed in and synced.
- Supabase — when you sign in, your data syncs to a secure cloud database hosted on Supabase (supabase.com), which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Supabase is SOC 2 compliant and hosted on AWS infrastructure.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — authentication and cloud database storage (privacy policy)
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in method (privacy policy)
- Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics (privacy policy)
- Formspree — feedback and waitlist form submissions (privacy policy)
- Netlify — website hosting (privacy policy)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your data at any time using the Export Excel button in the app
- Opt out of analytics by using browser privacy settings or extensions
To request account deletion or a data export, email us at hello@telofin.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies — only those required for authentication (session tokens via Supabase) and basic analytics (Google Analytics). We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Children's privacy
Clarity by Telofin™ is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@telofin.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify signed-in users by email.
